As true ‘children of Provence’, Julien and Carole Gouin, welcome you to their beautifully renovated farmhouse, parts of which date back to the early 17th century. In earlier lives it served as a staging post for the French Post Office, where teams of horses would be changed as well as a period where silk-worms would be bred.

During the restoration of Sous L’Olivier, Julien & Carole never lost sight of the fact that their visitors would become their ‘house guests’ in the truest sense and for this reason you are asked to treat it as your home away from home during your stay.

Sous L’Olivier provides a quiet haven in the heart of Provence, an ideal base for visiting the surrounding countryside, with its beautiful villages and its market towns. But the best is saved for last! The culinary hospitality provided is second to none. The breakfast will set you up for the day’s exploring, whilst the evening meal is a masterpiece of Mediterranean and Provencal cuisine. The informality at Sous L’Olivier is most notable in the evenings when guests gather on the terrace to mingle, exchange experiences and build friendship - many of which have lasted for years and are regularly rekindled.
