The Château de Saint Maurice is set in a quiet, secluded, rural area on a 500-acre property on the banks of the river Adour, in the south of the Landes. An avenue of oak trees leads to the house which is surrounded by gardens at the front and a park at the back. A swimming pool in a sheltered part of the park is a welcome spot on a hot summer day. Superb, secluded surroundings with historic buildings, interesting walks in the woods, plenty of wildlife - the perfect place for writing a book, painting, reading or just relaxing. Your hosts will be delighted to suggest numerous visits and activities in the region.
The house has recently been renovated to provide 3 spacious bedrooms, each adjoined by its own separate bathroom with large shower alcove, toilet and dressing room. The rooms are light and airy, and each has views over the gardens and the park. A visitors’ sitting room on the first floor has TV, Wifi access, tea and coffe facilities.
