Situated in north Burgundy, and only 10 km from the GUEDELON mediaeval castle building project, Domaine de Varenne is ideally placed for visiting the historic village of St Fargeau, famous for its castle and son et lumière, and the wine producing regions of Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé and Chablis.

Run by Linda Belither and her husband Toby, Domaine de Varenne is set within 70 acres of meadows and woodland on the edge of the village of St Amand en Puisaye. Five rooms are available, including a family suite; all are equipped with their own individual bath or shower rooms. Our guests have access to a sitting room where there is a refrigerator and a microwave oven, and a games room with a snooker table and a bar football table. We offer secure storage for bicycles and can provide tools where necessary. We can also provide drying facilities for clothing. There are picnic tables and swings in the garden.

Breakfast is included in the room price, and consists of a wide variety of home-made jams, bread, croissants, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, fruit and cereals.
Evening meals are served on request, and include pre-dinner drinks, starter, main course, cheese, and desert, tea or coffee as well as local red and white wines.
