La Maison des Chartreux

On the way to Saint Jacques, at the entrance of Le Puy en Velay (World Heritage Site by UNESCO), between the Loire and the commercial area of Brive-Charensac you will discover the Maison des Chartreux.

In the house remain many traces of its religious past with food-hatches, the door to the old cloister, its stone paving and tiles and French ceilings.
In the west wing: a tunnel which allowed the passage of carts. Contrast provided between arrival in St Vosy the 21st century and the entrance to the park in the 17th century.

500m from the house runs the Loire, where a nice path with flowers takes you along the old stone bridge in the town of Brive-Charensac or to the Rock of Aiguilhe au Puy.
