The surrounding countryside covered in vineyards, sunflowers and maize is famous for the old bastide villages, armagnac and foie gras producers. People live longer in this area of France due to the slow pace of life, the clean air and good diet. Daily markets in nearby villages are full of local produce. Rural France at its best!
