La Romaine

La Romaine is a large house constructed in 1830 and renovated in the 1960s, which has earned a four star rating from the regional Tourism bureau. Its large masonry walls keep it cool during the summer months. The four bedrooms on the ground floor accommodate up to eight guests comfortably.

This is the only house in the centre of the ancient town of Vaison-la-Romaine which has a large back garden, home to a variety of trees and fragrant plants. The garden is walled for privacy and gives a view of the Château des Comtes de Toulouse and the bell tower of the 12th century cathedral.

The swimming pool is 20 metres by eight - long enough to swim laps. A gate at the back of the garden leads directly to the town's Roman ruins.
